Phoenix Halls enjoys a convenient location near the North Laines and just a short walk from the station and central Brighton, with bus stops around the corner providing easy access to the station or the pier and university. Guests appreciate the clean, basic rooms equipped with tables and chairs, especially suitable for work, and the convenience of power ports; plus, a welcome pack with water, tea, coffee, and biscuits is a nice touch. The shared kitchen is a highlight, being large, modern, clean, and equipped with a TV. Some guests have noted the absence of a TV in the rooms.

a decent stay

great location nice touch welcome pack shower facilities bathroom ventilation lack of hooks
the location was great. it was close to the north laines and a couple of nice pubs were just up the road. i found it to be very secure. the little welcome pack had water, tea, coffee and biscuits which was a nice touch.
i stayed for a few weeks in different rooms. there were issues with shower facilities and the bathroom ventilation unit. there were also a lack of hooks to hang bath towels or clothes. everything was sorted promptly except for the hooks, i asked for them twice but nothing happened.

the reception staff are friendly, available, and helpful. i was shown around the facility upon arrival. staff members are also kind, considerate and professional, so you know you are in good hands
Rooms

the room had a good amount of space for a single traveller. towels and extra toilet rolls are available. the space is sober, but that is ok. it had lots of storage space which helped to keep things organised.

Solid Value for Money!

helpful staff welcome bag
The location offers easy access to shops and restaurants. The reception staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival. A welcome bag contained nice items. I found parking convenient. It made things much easier.
A service charge seemed high, given that the rooms are not cleaned daily. The Wi-Fi signal was unreliable. I struggled to stay connected. I hope they address this issue soon.
Service
9/10
Staff were very pleasant and helpful at the reception desk. A young lady provided a goody bag. It was a very nice touch. The manager greeted me warmly. This.
Location
8/10
The location is great. It is close to the central area. Coastal areas are also close. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is just a few steps away.
Facilities
8/10
The room included a shower and WC. I found the room very clean and tidy. A communal kitchen is available. The underground parking is available for a fee.
